CALL FOR PAPERS AND PREPARATION OF ABSTRACT

Participants are invited to contribute to the scientific program by submitting a paper to be published in Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research, Section A.

A camera-ready original of the abstract and two copies should be submitted to the HIF2000 Secretary by October 29, 1999.

Use regular mail for submission, or send by E-mail a Microsoft Word (RTF-FORMAT) file.
Facsimile copies will not be accepted.

The abstracts will be reviewed by the session organizers and the program committee for placement in the conference program. Abstracts will be published in the Conference Record, which will be available at the conference.

Abstract format:

  • Each abstract must be typed clearly within a printed area with a maximum width of 6.0 in. (15.2 cm) and a maximum height of 7.0 in (17.8 cm) on a Letter or A4 sized sheet. Both the top and the left margins should be 1.0 in (2.5 cm).
  • The single-page abstract must contain the title, author(s) and affiliation as a heading. The abstract must be single spaced with the title centered on one line and author name(s) and affiliation(s) centered under the title. The name of the author who will make the presentation should be underlined. It is recommended to use 14pt Times New Roman for the title and 12pt for author(s), affiliation, and text. In order to have a uniform format for the abstracts, please make sure that in the menu item "FORMAT/PARAGRAPH", LINE-SPACING is set to EXACTLY and AT is set to 12pt.
  • References should be indicated in the text with [bracket] and listed at the end of the text.
  • Below the abstract on the same sheet, the topic name should be specified.
  • Authors will be notified for acceptance or not, oral or poster presentation by December 1, 1999. The conference schedule will be posted on the HIF2000 internet home page before the symposium.

    PRESENTATION

    Oral - Oral sessions will be plenary. Overhead projectors will be available. Speakers who intend to use a 35 mm slide projector should inform the Local Organizing Committee in advance.

  • Invited talk: 20 - 30 minutes including 5 minutes discussion.
  • Contributed talk: 20 minutes including 5 minutes discussion.
  • Poster - Almost all contributed papers will be presented as posters.

  • The title, author(s), affiliation, address(es), and e-mail address should be presented with sufficiently large letters.
  • Language - English is used for all presentations and publication.
